Paul has rightfully earned the title of “Chairman of the Mud” from his peers in the running community. His ten years of running, organizing, and designing mud runs gives him the knowledge to plan and execute the mud run experience of a lifetime. Paul finished the nine day epic adventure the Eco Challenge, something many attempted and fell short of the finish line. An avid marathon runner and rugby player for over 25 years. Paul has raced in 16 Los Angeles Marathons and will be running in the 2009 NYC Marathon. Additionally Paul has run in 50 & 100 mile trail runs. In 2000 he was the race course designer for Mike Bone at the 1st ever Catalina Adventure Challenge and has designed numerous other race courses. Paul’s mission is to spread awareness about environmental issues at Eco Fun Challenge through a fun and entertaining race and festival. Paul is the proud father of two daughters.

Kurt Christian
Executive Event Producer
Kurt serves as the man that executes the developed plan for Eco Fun Challenge. Kurt has over 25 years of event and concert production under his belt. He is known for creating events that are extremely well thought out and organized to create the best experience possible. Some of Kurt’s most memorable highlights of his event and concert production career include serving as logistics coordinator for the SRS/AMS IndyCar Racing Team under team coach, five time Indianapolis 500 winner, Al Unser Sr. Kurt created and led the coordination of a segment highlighting the team on the hit television program, Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous. Kurt produced Spring Break on the Lake with over 30,000 students in attendance and over 25 bands performing on a retro 60s beach stage at the Nautical Inn Beach in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Media coverage of the event included MTV, Entertainment Tonight, FOX Television, and the Los Angeles Times. Kurt has worked with numerous charity events including the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament where he helped recruit participation from musician, Vince Neil, IndyCar driver, Al Unser Sr., and actor Kelsey Grammer. Additionally Kurt produced M.A.D.D. Jam ’87, a charity skateboarding exhibition and concert which included participation from legendary skateboarders; Tony Hawk, Lester Kasai, Mickey Alba and Southern California’s original punk/surf power trio, Agent Orange. Additionally Kurt has produced numerous charity fundraising events and concerts. Kurt is married with three children.

Pete Rasmussen
Event Construction & Logistics Coordinator
Pete manages the research, development and execution of the “nuts and bolts” of the Eco Fun Challenge including construction of all of our unique obstacles, trenches, mud pits, shower systems, in addition to our sound and beer garden build outs. He is a second generation master craftsman carpenter. He owns a large cabinet company in California that has built out the cabinetry for many of California’s top movie theater chains. Pete has constructed a number of outside projects including; special event build outs, skateboard half pipes, custom wood structures, and even a lighthouse to name a few. Proud of his Danish decent, Pete also holds the title of “Official Beer Garden Taster, Buyer and Host.”
